Public and commercial buildings

Legal provisions

Both types of buildings must have their water heating systems investigated regularly to ensure that there are no issues with hygienic water supply. Owners of real estate that includes a large-scale drinking water heating system or fixtures for nebulisation, e.g. showers, are legally mandated to test for the presence of Legionella. Installations with a boiler greater than 400 L in size, or with a pipe content greater than 3 L between the drinking water heater and sampling point are classified as large-scale systems.

GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH can also determine the following microbiological parameters, in addition to testing drinking water for Legionella:

  • Colony count determination at 22 °C
  • Colony count determination at 36 °C
  • Escherichia coli
  • Coliform bacteria
  • Enterococci
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Clostridium perfringens
