Quality Management

Quality Assurance at MVZ GANZIMMUN GmbH

With our quality management system, you can be sure of quality!

  • MVZ GANZIMMUN GmbH is regularly assessed by the German Accreditation Body [Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS)] and is accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15189:2024.
  • We ensure the highest quality standards among our employees through continuous training, professional development and further education programmes.
  • Innovative and consistently high-quality analytical procedures enable us to meet the requirements of modern laboratory diagnostics. The in-house development of more than 90 different methods accounts for a significant proportion of our activities, alongside complementary medicine.
  • All laboratory tests are assessed for precision through validation and verification procedures. Internal and external quality controls continuously ensure the quality of our analyses. Certificates from our external quality assurance programmes – conducted by INSTAND e. V., the Reference Institute for Bioanalytics [Referenzinstitut für Bioanalytik (RfB)], UK NEQAS and ERNDIM – are available on request from the Quality Management team.
  • The satisfaction of patients, referring physicians and institutions is very important to us. All complaints and grievances are therefore handled according to a defined procedure. Preventive, corrective and improvement measures are used to continuously enhance the quality of our day-to-day laboratory work.
  • The continuous improvement of our quality standards is confirmed by external assessments conducted by the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Health Investigations [Landesuntersuchungsamt Rheinland-Pfalz] and the State Office for Metrology and Verification [Landesamt für Mess- und Eichwesen Rheinland-Pfalz]. This also includes keeping up to date with and implementing new developments in the field of accreditation, the German Medical Association's Guideline on Quality Assurance in Medical Laboratories [Richtlinie der Bundesärztekammer zur Qualitätssicherung in medizinischen Laboratorien (RiliBÄK)], and laboratory analytics.

Referral of Samples

The tests marked with an asterisk (*) in the test catalogue are performed by accredited laboratories. Samples are referred exclusively to competent laboratory partners who are qualified to perform the respective analysis.

Measurement Uncertainty

Measurement uncertainty describes the variability of measurement results. Every measurement result is subject to measurement uncertainty. At every stage of the analytical process, deviations from the true value may occur, resulting on the one hand from errors and inaccuracies during sample collection and analysis. On the other hand, interfering factors (e.g. medications or biological factors) may affect the result.

We implement targeted measures and strategies to prevent erroneous analytical results. Our sample management is based on standardised sample collection procedures. This includes training on the correct collection and storage of samples, as well as prompt analysis to minimise changes caused by degradation processes. Our quality controls comprise both internal and external assessments to ensure the accuracy of test results. The quality management system continuously monitors the introduction of new procedures in order to further improve processes in our laboratory.

Despite all measures taken, the influence of interfering factors on analytical results cannot be completely ruled out. For information on specific interferences, please refer to the general information provided in the test catalogue. We would like to point out that information on measurement uncertainty is available from us at any time on request, enabling the medical interpretation of laboratory diagnostic results to be meaningful and patient-centred.

"In addition to establishing and maintaining a quality management system, the laboratory is certified as having a high level of technical competence." Dr. Katja Wyzisk, Head of Quality Management
