Food intolerance

Overview of laboratory services

Food intolerance manifests as physical symptoms that regularly occur after consuming certain food products. Typical symptoms may include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, nausea and vomiting. Over time, this may lead to weight loss and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies. However, there may also be symptoms outside of the gastrointestinal tract, such as headaches, fatigue and palpitations. Extremely precise diagnostics are an initial requirement for determining the cause of the intolerance when investigating very complex and non-specific symptoms.
